The CGT looks alike from the first PS pix of the Panamera was far better looking than the Cayenne styling. Like many Porsche fans, I hope the final production model will be great...and better than what we see here.

good thing the whole rear part is fake from some hard looking, im guessing the rear will look uhm... like a Z4 coupe's more or less, kinda like a duck butt... in fact more reminescent of a DB7's rear end... ofcourse with that ass-job its impossible to be sure of anything...

While speaking about Porsche rumour, here some new PS pictures of the Carrera GT successor called “Porsche GT1” like the previous Porsche übersupercar 993/996 GT1.

Just to compare here is the pix from Autocar’s scoop.

“The new Porsche GT1 will offer roughly 950 horsepower and will likely be based on the same chassis as the Porsche Carrera GT, except that it will have a solid roof coupe body instead of being a roadster. The machine will be based on the Le Mans car that Porsche has under development, but will be a road-going version. It's due in 2009. Despite having “only” 950 horses, the GT1 is expected to be lighter than the Veyron for better power to weight ratio. The Porsche Carrera GT weighs only 1380kg while the Veyron weighs 1887kg. The GT1 is expected to be around the same weight as the Carrera GT. We don't yet know though where the power is to come from. It could be a modified version of the GT's V10 or a turbocharged V8 -- the engine in the Cayenne -- but bored-out to 5.5-litres. Top speed is expected to be 254mph (408 km/h), 2mph over the Veyron’s top speed of 252mph.”

If you read the portion of the caption that's visible in the first paragraph it says it's a "photo-illustration", which would tend to mean that picture is a fabrication. I've got the magazine sitting in front of me and there are plenty of places in the picture where it's obvious that it's been photoshopped.

your right, Car and Driver always have 100% insight and access to cars they aren't supposed to see.... and they got it w/out any camo on...

I mean, we already know what the new Sting Ray Corvette will look like thanks to them ( or was that another mag)

LMAO

I don't know what to think about that test mule. It's very weird

It doesn't look very sporty. The rear is very short, and that rear spoiler is horrible

I think that I will reserve my comments when Porsche will reveal the final production model of this Panamera, because for now with all this camo on the car it looks a bit weird.

Somebody here have some PS pix of the next Porsche 928 (GT) ?
I think there have new one in the Car & Driver and Road & Track of this present month.

BTW, according to some rumours the next Porsche 928 (based on the Panamera platform) will have a front V8 engine of 350hp and 550hp. This car it supposed to be on the market in 2010/2011.
