NEW YORK -- Fans of Chinese actor Jet Li's Wushu (martial arts) movies will just have to face up the fact that Jet Li's Fearless, in theatres Friday, will be his last kick at that particular can, so to speak.
The 43-year-old actor, speaking in his broken English to reporters recently, seems to be headed in a less physical, more spiritual direction, even if he won't be giving up action movies entirely. Li's next film is Rogue, opposite action star Jason Statham (Crank), and in April he'll make a comedy with fellow Chinese martial arts artist Jackie Chan.

"He said, 'I'm 43 years old. Almost every bone in my body has been broken,'" says Yu. "And as you know, to do a Wushu movie, you need a lot of energy, because you have to do it real. All the moves, all the fights, require a lot of chi -- internal energy in Chinese people -- and it's not easy."
No kidding. On Jet Li's Fearless, Li broke seven bones with 60 days of the 90-day shoot devoted to fighting.
