So after 8 years of owning a 1.2 Renault Clio I decided it was time to move on. I looked around for weeks for a replacement, I started looking at sensible diesels and then looked at various petrol cars but I really wanted something quick that wasn't going to be daft on fuel costs, insurance, tax etc.
Step up the RS Megane, I had no idea they did an RS diesel!

Plans so far:

Get some standard wheels and decent tyres
Cooksport springs
Remap and dpf delete
Clio 197 side skirts
Colour code that spoiler that's on or replace with a Megane R26.R spoiler

First addition seeing as it has no badges, I'll get if fitted over the weekend.

Some tuning mods and visual mods to come. After removing the diesel particulate filter and remapping these can come out with 220bhp, so that will be done at some point.

Careful, if those are "lightweight lugs" (e.g. aluminum/magnesium), they can be more prone to shearing off under stress. A friend of mine just destroyed his right-front wheel, hub, rotor, and fender because 4 of his "lightweight lugs" snapped while he was autocrossing.

Cheers fella's and I will keep the bolts (lugs ) in mind. I know a few people that have used them before me and the company they come from seem to be well recommended.

very nice Megane!!! is that how the stock exhaust exit is?? out of the rear valence?

Cheers Yeah that's the standard exhaust / bumper (fender). The non RS models have a single exit exhaust hidden underneath.

So what are you plans for other mods?

Plans so far are:
1. Lower it around 30mm on Cooksport springs
2. Colour code the black spoiler
3. Remove the dpf (diesel particulate filter)
4. Stage 1 Remap
5. Fit Renault Clio 197 side skirts

Possibly a few other bits and pieces, such as removing the EGR valve. I also have my eye on a Pioneer AVH-X3500DAB stereo that will look the part interior wise, DAB, Bluetooth, Sat Nav etc.

Nice looking Megane! Didn't know they made an RS diesel version. These were probably limited edition, right?
