Carbon County Man Arrested After High Speed Chase

35-year-old William Faenza of Andreas faces charges for DUI, reckless endangerment and eluding police after leading officers on a high speed chase through Carbon County Sunday.

Mahoning Township police clocked Faenza going 182 miles per hour in a 55 mile an hour zone. Faenza was driving a 1997 Lamborghini Diablo, a $260,000 sports car.

Officers caught up with Faenza after he stopped along Route 443. He and his passenger was taken into custody. Faenza is free on $450 bail. The car was confiscated and taken into safe keeping.

i think it was a hand held radar that caught him. if it was the camera, police will be at the door of his house.

Yeah it would be little more than pocket change to Mr Faenza. He doesnt want to drop the soap, because he will get an ass full of change.

IMO driving a Diablo at 55 mph is a real crime...

That's called abuse.

And driving one at 182mph in a 55 zone could result in manslaughter. He was stupid for doing it and belongs in jail. Even moreso since he decided to do it while drunk.

Well if you want to play you've gotta pay sometimes. I can't say I feel a bit sorry for him. Drunk doing those speeds isn't to good of a mix.At least he didn't kill anybody. Then again you can probably have 1 beer an be considered drunk so who knows.

In australia the whole speed thing is really strict and it is eaasy to get caught. you have a ceratin number of points and if you lose em you lose your licence. I know a fella that got caught speeding on his bike and as a consequence he couldnt drive or ride. In the city it is really hard to speed, although in the country there is so much space so you can give it stick. you just have to be willing to bye a new windscreen and bonet everytime you speed on dodgy rodes.

I wasn't serious there, 666fast. I thought it was obvious...

I don't really have a problem with speeding though. As long as you do it outside areas where there are no pedestrians etc. What type of road usually is a 55 mph zone there?

Speed itself doesn't kill. Bad judgement does.

I completely missed the drinking part, because at first I didn't understand the term DUI. It probably means driving under influence, right? I want you to know I hate people who drink and drive. There is absolutely no excuse for it. Especially when you're driving a car that needs more attention in the first place. I mean, he could have got the poor Diablo killed... That's abuse as well.
