Sign up to drive the E92 M3.
Got this from Eau Rouge @ M3forum.net....and I quote
If you want to test drive an M3, X6 or 1 Series (128 and 135i), the date is March 7th.
Just got a call from a BMW employee. Here's the scoop.
Go to this link.
http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...n/Default.aspx
The dealerships are going to have one M3 on hand to be driven by all who sign up (i.e. register) online.
Registration will open February 2nd. Go to the same link on that date and you will see that it has been updated to allow you to register.
The test drive times will be from 10 AM to 5 PM.
No cost to you.
Food onsite.
Have a great time guys.
|
Go to the page and click on register at the top right and put your info in. I cant register until march 4th, but some of the other guys did and said that the M3 WAS on the list of cars to be driven at the event.
We should try to limit how much this gets out...........the lines will be tremendous if not. But you know I couldnt leave my long time pals out

Crap
I think you and I are screwed because some of the guys said when they registered it said you had to be 25 to drive the M cars...........I just turned 23.
I dont care though..........I'm going to try to talk the dealer into letting me go, i've known them for years now.

Registration is not available in your area until 03/18/2008. (as opposed to waiting until 18/3/2008, but seeing that I now see how clumsy saying 18th of March 2008 is, I am glad the US uses the more easily said and quicker March 18 2008 as a date standard.. )
I would love to feel just how slow an overweight underpowered V8 3 series can feel

Thanks for the tip. But usually you have to get there earlier to get the nicer cars. I remember I did this a few years ago, and signed up for the M3 (e46) for an afternoon time slot. But some idiot ended up running it into a bus earlier in the morning.
Had to settle for a Z4 3.0. Still not bad.
Thanks again.

Why does the guy with the 2000 bhp Z06 always have something to say .
Overweight yes.........but 414 hp in a car thats with the practicality of an M3 is hardly underpowered.
