Default Hotwheels Ferrari 360 CS without the stripe.

I just removed the stripe this morning. I think it looks much better without it.

The stripe was just a sticker that peeled off very easily. Under the stripe, on the body of the car, was a thin painted white line. I had to use a little acetone to remove the line.

I am ambivalent about the stripes .. sometimes I like it, sometimes I dont.

While I was looking at my CS model recently, I realized that the dash was not a true CS dash - it was missing the yellow faced tach. Also it doesnt have the suede finish to the seats, the stitching, the buttons on the console or the longer upshift paddle.

Take a look here for the real thing
http://ferrarichat.com/forum/attachm...id=64614&stc=1

I think HotWheels must have taken a 360 Modena F1 just changed the front and rear bumpers and trunk, removed the paint from the mirrors and called it a CS. In fact if you read the label underneath the car - it says 360 Modena - no mention of CS

Cheap bastards, they took existing stocks of regular 360s and tried to pass them off as 360 CSs...

Sadly no as I alway say, no idea why Ferrari prefers to give license to Hotwheel and not to a better manufacturer like Autoart or Kyosho.. I'm sure they would like to put their hand on Ferrari models!

BTW while looking around today, I noticed RedLine models is releasing a red with stripe CS in 1:43 (same manufacturer as my Enzo)... so I think I will stick with a small one as soon as possible

you've gotta realise hotwheels is just one big automated manufacturer. hotwheels do it with the F1 cars as well. they do 50 wins special, the worlchampion special. but basically they are just the same car. and silly fools like me still go and buy them.

if you take the base and box away, you can just buy the one car and no one would know

ya, I like it better with the stripe on, it sets itself apart more from the standard 360

i also like it better with the stripe, it gives it look of exclusivity and it looks more special, for me it looks completely different eithout the stripe, whe i see it with out the stripe i see it like just a modded 360 and when it has th estipe it looks more pecial and better in a way, if i would to buy one i would buy the stipes, no matter how expensive.
but thats kust me

you can't be serious, you actually would have thought that was a fullsize real 360CS if it wasn't labelled as a scale model?
