Olympic medal-winning cyclist Bradley Wiggins drops by this week to assist Jason in a couple of fourwheeled challenges – including a fast and furious race involving a Maserati Gran Turismo. Will Bradley be as quick behind the wheel as he is in the saddle?
Elsewhere, Tiff pits Renault’s hot hatch, the Mégane R26.R, against a Caterham CDX sports car. Renault has removed their vehicle’s back seats, stereo and soundproofing to improve its speed, but the light and agile Caterham will be a tough competitor.
Meanwhile, Vicki takes to the race track in the BMW 330d in a bid to prove just how capable a machine it is. While the 330d may not seem an obvious choice for track-driving, Vicki aims to show that this diesel saloon will give other more expensive cars a run for their money.
Also this week, Tim dishes out some practical advice to viewers who want to protect themselves against wily car thieves. After demonstrating how easy it is for an experienced criminal to break into a vehicle, Tim runs through some of the most effective security devices on the market. He also offers a few tips on how to outfox the crooks.
The brand new Ford Ka is the subject of Jonny’s consumer review. With the old model having been in production for an astonishing 13 years, Jonny scrutinises the new version to see if it will follow in the hallowed footsteps of its predecessor. Have Ford done enough to make the Ka stand out?
