Default The woods near Lausanne

Of course I didn't take these pics today

Sadly I don't have many pics of my area to show to the comunity (to the ones interested in that I mean...)

But there is some sort of "magic" place pretty close to me where I love to go to have some true relaxing, to just breath fresh hair in the summer (beeing 900 meters over the sea level), to just read a book, to grill something or to walk around and enjoy what mother nature gave us

Here is the little road that leads you there

And in winter version

Another winter shot (here you can go only by feet)

The infamous winter shot of my car

Another pic of my car

And two pics of the place we usually use for the grill (I know, a little messy... sadly it's a public place where everybody can go and many un-polite people uses it...)

It's really great to have such a nice place just 10 minutes from home and the city. Our town is not that big, but already enough to make you desire some nature, despite all the parks...
And the fact it is up in the hills makes it even better during summer when in town you have 30 or 35 C and in the woods you are easily in the 25
Basically with a broadband connection, that place would be my perfect home

Great pics TT. I like the shot of your car the best. If it wasn't for the little bit of green you can see in the trees, it would look like you photoshopped your car in color onto a black and white picture.

Man, i miss switzerland! I havent been there since 1999, on our last european tour. I think the last time went, we went to Interlaken, Lausanne, Berne... I cant really remember. We wanted to go up the Jungfrau, but apparently we arrived too late that day, and the cable cars didnt go up so high at that moment in time, so we stopped off at a little town about a thousand metres up. I forgot the name! I think it begins with M or soemthing. It's all a blur right now. We also tried to go Italy from Switzerland through a mountain pass, but it was snowed out! and in JUNE. JUne 1st, if i remember correctly. Imagine playing about in snow in long pants and light sweaters meant for summer
