Hmm there seemed to be an open day at a fire station we drove past today... coincidence, or is it firefighters day today or something like that???

hmm, didnt rita hit huoston?

there dun seem like alot of dmg in the city. i flew into huston wensday on the week of the hurricane. (was flying bak from helping peeps in new orleans).

We are a big city... one of the largest by surface area there is. The hurricane past to the north east of Houston... hit Port Arthur and Beaumont.

oh,

were u one of the evacuees?

couse when i flew over. every street that pointed north, was jampacked wit cars. n the streets going south were empty. >.<

there was a subway guy at the airport(btw ur airport is ginormous) and he told me that his boss wanted to him to stay and work even during the storm lol.

And those are the trucks of the local suburbs volunteer firestation...

One of these days I will remember to go attend an open day of one of the downtown station houses - you know, the guys that use the really big stuff to fight fires inside the cityscape...
