At first the wheel seems a bit harder, but once you get used to it, there is no going back.
I played the first Gran Turismo and GT2 entirely with the controller and it took me some time to fully adjust to the steering wheel.
It is very important to have the wheel at the proper height and mounted securely to the furniture and not to a little stoll that moves with every turn.

Bugger!
I hope and pray it won't happen that way, but it really will not surprise me if GT4 is only playable on the 3rd gen Playstation. My main gripe with a policy like that, is the delay in launching GT4 (again). The PS3 is still some ways away and it could mean that GT4 will be released only the next year.
One ray of hope for me is that the Christmas period is crazy time for the video game manufacturers and software houses, so hopefully the slimmer PS2 & GT4 are part of Sony's blitz! <please God!>
It is a shame the Ferraris will (probably??) not be making an appearance, but at least the McLaren F1 will be. The driver's licence test with the McLaren having to chase down 5 cars was the highlight of Prologue for me and really made me start salivating for the full version of the game.
