I don't really get it... the last NFS title I actually bought was NFS HP 2. Project Gotham became the makeshift successor to that title IMO. I would like to rent the new one...

Shift was a pretty good game, if you used the overhaul mod from nogripracing.com and a steering wheel. It made it more sim-like.

The original Need for Speed franchise was also known for its great cutscene and rendered intro videos.
