Default Feb 12: Porsche Cayman S indepth!

So, my turn to post a Cayman S feature sadly again a black one, sorry

What a nice little car it is! I was in the 997S not too long ago, so it was pretty easy to compare (passenger rides only, for both). The Cayman is a bit smaller, but barely noticeable inside. Cabon quality is absolutely top notch! Even in the hidden parts, below the seats and so on, perfect! Very German, nothing crazy, but perfectly crafted. Engine note is very very good. Not as good as the 997, but close, with a nice personality through the revs range. it corners pretty well, ncie grip, firm acceleration and good braking. On paper it's quite close to a 997, but actually even if it feel very poised, it doesn't feel as "brutal" when you nail it. No idea how to explain it, but well, it alays seems more relaxed lol. Anyway, very desirable IMO and in the metal its shape is damn nice!
I hope you'll like the pics!

Don't worry about it being black, I love the the effect the polarizer has on it - looks great!

A nice bunch of photos, the first few looking down on the car are my favourites. :good:

Is this another asphalte.ch feature, or was this just a private car?

This Cayman S looks so nice in black. Thanks mate for this new indepth.

I appreciate a lot your photography with the skatepark for background, that gives a very cool effect.

I'm that fond of the Cayman, but the pics are nice. Was it easy to get decent panning shots in this weather?

btw, did you use the half pipe with the Cayman ?

Fantastic pics as usual. The pictures make the car look better than it really is... Nice use of angles and height to get the right effect. The wider rear haunches shows up very well IMO 8)

What is the little blue sticker on the side of the car - looks like an Auto Union to me.

What is asphalte.ch all about - is it a magazine or bunch of car enthusiasts?

The sticker is this one:

Basically in Switzerland, Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda and Porsche are managed by this company. And this car was of course a test car from a local Porsche dealer.

And well, asphalte is sort of a local JW limited to the french part of Switzerland basically.. a regional car nuts forum, with a forum but also part of the website dedicated to reviews and such
