So - back to the topic....

There are those resident in Europe that have the where withal to purchase one of the best all-rounders ever built - and then bump up the power a few notches - just to keep it interesting.

BTW, did you even bother to read the links? Even just the first post in each one?

as everyone knows, sometimes its hard to keep track of threads you havent seen if they are on the bottom of a slew of subjects, so because of you, speedkillar, i see this thread, and think "my, its pretty cool that our euro counterparts love this car too! in fact they love it so much more then the conversal counterparts. it truly is a beast of a vehicle that i wish i could have more experience with myself.

Well I'm happy to made this thread more "visible" and I like the Z06 too, but its not my favourit american muscle at this time, that would be the GTO.

awsome, and ahem...... being american, i concider the new GTO as much american as i concider the Ford Probe, and Dodge Stealth american. well, mabey slightly more since it has that totally sweet 5.7 pushrod all american v8

on a side note, i sat in a new Monero GTO for the first a few days ago, and it is big, lots of room in the rear and such. the dealer had 3 versions, 2 autos, and one 6 speed. the autos for highway were a staggering 21 mpg, while the 6 speed is an amazing 29 mpg highway... GM has a 6 speed auto box they use in their 8.1 liter trucks...

its such a vast difference; but then again, id never care to buy an auto sportscar

The Z06's are nice. I like the new Goat (GTO) too but they should have made it more like the old one (styling wise) like they did the mustang. The new one has no resemblance to the old one, which i think I would pick over the new.
