Default April 29 - Roadtrip to the CannonBall Run

Still Life

No comment...

A tanker truck marked "Raw Sewege" on the side - needs to also display "Inedible" on the back - In case it get's tipped over in an accident I guess... may help prevent the locals from "stealing the gravy..."

Private Message...

Which one of you JW members left this message for me on the stall door in a Missouri truck stop? I am flattered that you thought of me on my long lonely trip - but I have to say, I don't bend that way....

How to put as much distance between yourself and said Truckstop in an hour flat... ...

...and how to travel 1200 miles in 14 hours including stops...

Sunrise... at 120mph...

Nice pics mate. How much fuel are you getting through if you cruise @ 120 mp/h??

Well - I was actually going about 90mph in 6th most of the way - and including a number of stints at 100+ in 5th and 6th - I got 26.7mpg (8.8L/100km)on the trip up...

6th is so tall, you only pull 1500rpm at 55mph... - 2000rpm at 80mph and so on...

Only 8.8L/100 km.....DAMN, that's very economic, I swear to god I thought american cars where made to do at least 15L/km, that's really impressive :shock:

Impressive??? Impressive?? This is what I have been telling all y'alll...

When are you mother fuckers going to realize, the Z06 is not just another American car... :roll: 8)

Let me remind everyone just what this "but it's too common to be a supercar" car is all about...

  • * 0-60 in 4s
    * 1/4 mile in 12.2s stock by magazine test
    * 1/4 mile in 11.9s by competant driver test
    * 175mph top speed (with a few simple bolt-ons the car will pull about 180-185mph - right in supercar territory)
    * 7:56 laptime around Nurburgring - STOCK!!
    * Capable of 1g+ lateral on stock rubber
    * 60-0 braking distance of about 108ft...
    * Weighs 3100 pounds fully fueled and ready to go...
oh, yeah - it also gets 26+mpg when slipped into 6th gear on the open road.

All this and it does not even carry a luxury or gas-guzzler tax, and with discounts can be purchased new for about $46,000 at the moment - and used as low as $30,000.
Supercar that biatch...
