Jan29:QLD Nissan Cruise -
G'day fellas,
here are some pics i took today, from a Nissan cruise. Not many nice cars, but a few clean skylines, 1600's, 180's, 200's and 300's. Got some good practise on the panning shots, and the one really nice Continental GT went flying past, i was too nervous to take the photo and stuffed it up...as you can see by the pic, bugger.
But the other panning shots turned out pretty neat i think, what do you think? Getting there slowly
also, a little update on my car, it will be turning into a track/hill climb monster soon, as ive fitted these parts: Tein superstreet coilovers, GT28RS turbo with tial 38mm external wastegate, whiteline rear sway bar, J-spec front and rear 3 point rally brace, stripped interior, defi BF PSI boost guage...thats it for the moment until i can afford to rebuild the engine
cheers
shane

Nice pictures! What kind of camera do you shoot with? If shooting with a Canon, you should try shooting it in "Tv" mode so that you choose the shutter speed(panning) and the camera will choose the proper f/stop. If everything works out correctly, your pictures shouldn't be as over/under exposed.

Thanks for the pics, Nissans aren't really my thing although the S15's are pretty cool (but I hate the lights on the red one).
Those aren't really panning shots technically, since you are taking them from a moving car and doing the same speed as the car you are shooting. Zot09's advice is good, a couple of the pics are definately under exposed.

Cheers for the advice, i know most the cars were rice
I setup a slower shutter speed, and moved with the car, does that count for panning im using a nikon d70 with a nikon dx 18-70mm lense, dont have any TV modes on mine.
I also used photoshop in a few pics to adjust the light curve, something different..
I'll try to see if the Ferrari club of QLD allows me to follow them in a cruise or drive day, that would be awesome

Nice pics! I love the traveling shot (these aren't really "panning shots") with the blue Silvia whatever D:
