Default CRC errors

Got this documentary i kept for a friends uni work on a dvd-r it plays fine however whenever i try to copy it to my HD it gives Cyclic Redundacy Check errors. I want to make a dvd video out of it hence wating to copy it.Anyone got any ideas?

Cyclic Redundancy Check means that the data you're trying to copy failed the checksum test. That means that the data is in some way corrupted

You should check for scratches on the dvd, or you could try cleaning your lens.

I'm pretty sure that whenever you copy a file from cd the checksum is checked, and if it doesn't match, no dice

You need to run it through DVD decrypt - I remember years ago there was a setting you needed to set on early Windows DVD drives to over come these bogus data read errors... but I think DVD Decrypt will handle it for you.

Cheers didn't think of that, trying it now, not sure about options couldn't see anything relevant on the ISO mode options. Anyway i'm sure it must be bogus, it doesn't play like a corrupted avi file normally does, skips through fine and everything appears to be there, bloody computers
