Star Trek XI
The new trailer for the Star Trek was shown before the new James Bond movie.
Here is a bootleg copy somebody made inside a theatre. The real one is not released to trekkies on the web untill Monday.
I hate to see innocent classic Corvettes injured making a movie, but it is a pretty good introduction to young Ty.

^ Sort of half / half. The saucer section looks really old school (60s) because of the smoothness of it, where as the lower section looks really detailed w/ the windows and such (from the original movies).

can someone answer this question?
is this all CGI or are they doing it old school with models?
I find that the best trek movies were the ones prior to first contact since they really pushed it by building models and having real explosions, CG is nice too but it is not as good, just take a look at Nemesis...

Prior to First Contact? First Contact used models.
And you know you hate Nemesis because of the sucky plot.

Didn't they all have sucky plots.
Special effects appear to be hard edged CGI similar to Serenity as opposed to soft cartoonish CGI of First trilogy Starwars.
Whale plot was Ok since it involved time travel.
