Default Fast And Furious 4

http://www.beyondhollywood.com/categ...-4-2009-movie/

So it’s official. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are definitely returning to the franchise that made them superstars in “The Fast and the Furious 4″, and the guys over at Movie Hole has some details about the upcoming movie. The setting this time around is Mexico, where Dom (Diesel’s character from the original) is still racing for the bad guys, and where Brian (Walker’s character, from the original and the first sequel) tracks him down. The entire scenario seems to be a reworking of the original plot, with the racers providing cover for the bad guy’s illegal activities, and undercover cop Brian trying to figure it out, etc. One expects a lot of cool cars, racing, and hot girls to get involved, as is the raison d’etre of the franchise.

This is interesting news. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker have decided that together they’re gold at the box office, but separately they’re, well, not so much gold, which may be why the dynamic duo are re-teaming for the fourth installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise. Also according to the trade, Justin Lin and Chris Morgan are also returning as director and writer, respectively, having previously helmed the previous installment, “Tokyo Drift”. This kinda confirmation (THR says the acting duo are in negotiations to return) would seem to indicate that the Powers That Be are fast-tracking “Furious 4″ to beat the strike.

More:

Neal Moritz will produce the as-yet-untitled installment along with Diesel, who will produce through his One Race Films banner.

The story line is being kept under wraps, but fast cars are involved. A spring start is anticipated with shooting in Los Angeles, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

The first “Furious,” released in 2001, was a surprise hit, grossing more than $144 million and creating a franchise for the studio while making stars our of Diesel and Walker. Only Walker returned for the sequel, “2 Fast 2 Furious,” and sat out the third installment, 2005’s “Tokyo Drift.” That movie had relative newcomer Lucas Black in the driver’s seat but did feature Diesel in a cameo at the end of the movie. His appearance was so well received that it was even mentioned in ads.
I guess no one is surprised that Vin Diesel is returning to the series. He did make a cameo at the end of part three, after all, and why would he do that if he wasn’t already willing to come back? Walker, on the other hand — well, Walker is a piece of drift wood. You can put anyone in his place and you wouldn’t actually have any drop in acting talent.

Let's be honest, they both are bad actors. Vin only have 1 character, Paul......well...has none.

I can only hope that this movie doesn't further degrade the taste of the American public like the first two did. "Ricers" really weren't a common problem before 2001. At least that's how it is in my neighborhood . . . which is about a mile away from the only Super Autobacs store (can you say ricer central?) in the US.

Ah, Super Autobacs. I can't believe they had guts to have their first/only store in that lot. No one goes there. Although I suppose its proximity to the ricer central in The OC™ helps. And yes, it's hideously overpriced.

If you're from The OC™ (or elsewhere), you'll find the quote extremely funny. (no spelling change made)

"Welcom to Super Autobacs USA in Stanton,California. Our knowledgeable and talented staff can assisit you in achieving your car lifestyle needs!"

What I hated about the racing scenes in this franchise was the fact that all their cars seemed to have extra gears conveniently activated whenever they needed to pass someone.

i hope this one has as much storyline as it does cars and doesn't turn out like that disaster 2fast 2 furious, having said that i think that im just a bit more excited about the 2008 F1 season, the new regs and venues are making it quite appealing.
