Another totalled C6 Z06.. ??
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4617677096
Repairs must be really expensive for this to be an inusurance salvage... ??
Unless the dealership smashed the car.. *shrug*

I have a feeling 90% of all C6 Z06's will end up with a salvage title or a trip to the repair shop within the first month of being driven by their owners..

oh man, its got to be about 10 now! such an epidemic... i bet they arent safe/well sorted cars... nobody should drive something like this!
out of how many thousand???
do you have any idea how many car accidents there are EVERY day??? yeah, thats en epidemic...
so inserting a higher volume of a specific car vs a low volume car (400 enzo's) guess who is going to have more accidents?
thats right, a walrus!

90% of the population doesn't know how to master +500hp. When you give them a car at an affordable price which this much power, there is bound to be mistakes.

I totally agree but having allot of money isn't a guarantee for driving skills either. As we can see with the amount of wrecked Enzos.
BTW I can't understand that you can get a C6 Z06 for under 80 grand "over there". That's just incredible bang for buck. Would set you back something in the neighborhood of 130+ grand here in Sweden.

The real point of the post was wondering about how such limited appearing damage would result in a car being written off by the insurance company.
Don't you need 50% value repairs to process a write off?

I guess you have to see the car in person to really notice the damage dude. That front wheel is sitting a little awkard under the front guard, is that the standard camber?
does the owner get a brand new car in replacement for that?

the whole front suspension is trashed. and i know the frame and motor mounts have to be near shot. so i am sure there was a lot of "hidden" damage. but i have a minner bump on my old 92 buick (first car) and it was a cracked turn signal and they were talking about motor mounts, bumpers, airbag sensors, and a whole list of stuff for like 4,000 dollars. it needed a turn signal. by the way i drove it for another 50,000 miles

Again - the point is that the car probably had an MSRP of about $76,000 as optioned.. would that mean almost $40,000 damage to the car?
Even with broken subframe, etc etc etc... Chevy parts are cheap.
It would be interesting to get the entire story as to how the insurance company came to a "write-off" conclusion
Some people struggle to get the insurance to use a new fender when they file a claim.

By the looks of it, it fell off the lift somehow.
Also, if you look closely at the seconf pic RC posted, it looks like the rear 1/4 panel doesn't line up with the trunk.
