Default Hammond drives the Veyron on a track [Spoiler Warning]

"Richard Hammond has recorded his first high-speed car stunt since a life-threatening smash less than a year ago.

The Top Gear star drove a Bugatti Veyron - capable of speeds up to 250mph - in a race with a Typhoon fighter jet at an RAF base in Lincolnshire.

The BBC said it was confident "stringent" safety had been in place for the vehicle, which is known as the world's fastest production car.

Hammond drove the Bugatti a mile in each direction down the runway as the Typhoon flew overhead. An eyewitness described it as an "awesome sight".

In September 2006 Hammond brushed with death in a smash in a jet-powered car. He returned to the show in January and is now filming the new series, which is due to air in October."
if only it was the TG test track...

Seems like Bugatti really don't want the Veyron to be compared at the track.

Cars vs planes again...

But, I very like the Veyron and I'm a big fan of the Eurofighter Typhoon, so it must be a good TG episode like always. :good:

the Eurofighter is inferior to the SU 27, and misc. us fighters... especially the F22

Not sure about this competition.... but i'm sure they'll make it interesting somehow.

Based on many Canadian and Austalian Defense reports, thus objective on the question: The Eurofighter Typhoon is superior to the Sukhoi family Su-27 (Su-30MK,Su-33), F-16, F-18 and even the F-15 in BVR combat. This is for this reason the USA focus their effort now by acquiring 5th generation fighter like F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II and future stealth fighter UCAV.

About dogfighting, the Typhoon is better to (F-16 block 50,F/A-18 and SuperHornet ,F-15 E/F and Strike Eagle) and the Su-27 (Su-30MK and Su-33).

No jet fighter specialists know actually if the Eurofighter is better in dogfighting and BVR than the Su-35 and the new Mig-35 aka (Mig 29K/M). When India wil buy these kind of planes and put them in 1:1 combat situation vs UK Eurofighter Typhoon inside a "Indradhanush operation" we will probably know.

No question about it, the F-22 is superior than all 4 and 4.5 generation Jet fighters in all air-combat situations.
