Post whatever news you can find on the internet about this new show

To start things off, Unofficially Adam Carolla is going to host the show

Scroll down to the first "How say you?" segment and he'll briefly talk about it at the beginning of the segment.

I heard that Leno and Seinfield were in the running also for presenters. leno could be good but idk about Seinfield. also i read that corolla is actually a pretty big car fan, he went to le mans last year. so idk its still up in the air about this being a show thats worth watching. any word on a possible air date for the pilot. last i heard was march, but since its march now and there are still very little details i doubt it will be this month.

At least, like JC, Leno is an actual likeable character. Carolla is not that likeable of a character and only appeals to a fringe audience.

He works as a "Man Show" host, but has little charisma about him, and I'd have a hard time being convinced that this guy is a "car guy" through and through.

This is why I feel in Jay Leno you have one of the greatest, if not THE greatest "Car Guy" on the planet.

He has the funds to meet and exceed any car dream 100 times over, yet is a real down to earth "Car Guy" that can appeal to Car Guys/Gals of every budget level - and this is not something that I have ever seen any other car show host pull off.

I listened to Adam Corolla's radio show for years. He's very funny, but not for this kind of stuff. He also has a very unfortunate last name. Jay Leno needs to be the main presenter if this sacrilege is to continue.

Well, then they have lost at least 1 viewer.. and I am sure the difference between Leno and not Leno will be millions and millions of viewers.

Leno has a fan base that any adveryising revenue exec would be an absolute imbecil to pass up.

In fact, if faced between Leno and "someone else" - choosing "someone else" should get him fired on the spot.

For a Car Show (which traditionaly have a very niche and fringe following) having someone like Leno whois the consumat ecar guy and adored by millions, this is a match made in heaven.

I have seen car shows come and go over the years, and almost always the failure was "lack of advertising revenues".

You will not have that problem if Leno hosted it.

Adam Corolla! Egads, what a miserable choice.

Perhaps they can get Chevy Chase? A much better idea would be Jamie Lincoln Kitman.

They may not have to decide though. They can talk to Leno all they want. The question is, after hosting The Tonight Show, would he want to invest all that time and energy into a new show? I'm almost afraid that Gear is 5 years too late for Leno...

I am sure he would enjoy doing it though...

But why bother with some cloned Top Gear?

Supercars Exposed on Speed is pretty good as it is.

Lets give these guys a proper budget and see what can happen.

Eh, I wasn't too impressed with speed's new supercar show. It just seemed so blah.
