Default White Countach...for sale

Hi,

just back from a second hand car dealer next to my place, where I could admire a very nice white Countach LP400S in an incredible state :shock:

Here are the first pictures I started to make. But as you can see, there was this hugly yellow placard on the windscreen. After discussion with the dealer, he accepted to remove it and opened the car...that is when the batteries of my camera decided to give up !! :cry:

Ok, I should not have told that because I will now be nominated for the looser of the month...I should know that one must have his camera always ready with full batteries, but I am new and still have to learn!! ops:

Fortunately, StMorizer was also there and made some very nice pictures that he will post soon. Finally, we staid there more than one hour and had a good chat with the dealer which was a very cool guy => simply just an other cool evening 8)

Just amazing is the Porsche standing next to it which simply looks too round and too big !!

PS: for those interested, this car is for sale => http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...1777&start=120

I always wanted one of those, but after the nasty reviews given to it, sort of killed that in me.

Nice catch! Not easy to spot a Countach in an average used cars dealer! Well done, thanks for the pics!

How does one quickly tell the difference between a real countach and a kit car from external pics?

I remember Clarkson saying it was like driving a washing machine or something similar Anyway, it's a really nice car - but, as I've said in stmoritzer thread... the white-white-white combo is just too 80s for my taste !
In that episode he was parking the car in the studio while leaning out of the car

and yes, the car remembers to the "Miami Vice" -age

that was a 993TT. More pics here => http://www.motorworld.net/forum/show...=539868#539868

But next to the amazing wide and flat shape of the Countach, the Porsche looked like a big grey egg !!

Amazing to this that this car was designed more than 20 years ago :shock:

That's why I always carry 4 batteries with me (the camera accepts 2)..... They are dirt cheap on eBay etc and can prevent these nasty moments.

That's an amazing catch. A Countach doesn't let itself catch easily on the roads, let alone a full white one.
