That's right, they didn't do their job, the guy with the extinguisher would better help the ferrari driver

I don't think there was any fog, it's just the spray of the water lying on the track when the cars pass by. In the first second of the clip you can see clearly the first cars.
But idd, when so much water is standing on the circuit, they should have stopped the race.
EDIT: it seems the link is down, so I uploaded it to my webspace for the people who didn't had the change to download it. Click here. Since it's my own webspace, I ask kindly not to post this link outside JW!

Sorry, yeah now i look it does look like just spray. After reading abou thte court case, this was the beginning of the race (hence huge explosion, 2 full fuel tanks went up!)!!!! The warm up lap, with the saftey car slowing too quickly and unexpectedly, causing the pack to bunch with tragic results.

I watched it in slow motion a few times, and the fuel tank on the porsche is the only one that explodes but it obviously sprays all over the ferrari(you see what race gas can do). And the guy with the extinquisher was trying to get over the fence that was preventing him from getting to the porsche guy. Just seems like they were a little under manned for a catastrophe like that.

I cannot get over this video. I showed it to my class mates today and my teacher played it like 15 times. They just couldnt believe how totaly consumed in fire that ferrari was. The music really does alot to add emotion to the footage. Thanks a bunch for putting this vid. up.
Although it kinda makes me sad every time I watch it
