Or, stick the car into 1st, fry the tranny, and same effect will be achvied.

yeah right, ok then just try that with your car and don't forget to tape it

my guess is that's not as easy a it seems, especially in a public road. anyway it's not clever either! good vid tough good example what to not do on the street

You want to try it? Go out by a real race sim, like GPL, and try it. The problem is that you'll have to use the 5th to 1st trick in GPL since it does not have an ebrake.
