Default how to capture streaming video with windows media player?

i wanna capture some streaming vids and was wondering what programs you folks would recommend to do the trick. i was told to do a search but i don't trust search results and i'd much rather take someone else's personal word for it.

some things i've tried:
making hidden files/folders visible and searching the temporary internet files folder for the videos i've streamed, but to no avail as i couldn't find the videos. i also tried a program called VCR1.0 but that only works if you have permission from the sites you're streaming from (which i don't)

suggestions/recommendations welcome

You can try a program called WM Recorder. Alternative, you can use ASF Recorder or StreamboxVCR. From my experience, WM Recorder seems to work better than most other programs.

WMR 9.0 is perfect... but next time you can try to do a search before opening a new topic since lately we already discussed about that:
