Default Selling honda! buying wrx!

yup, i was thinking long n hard last night.
and iv decided to sell my civic and use that (n some other cash) to make a large down payment on a 2002 Subaru WRX sedan.
I looked then up, and they only run for $11,000 average.

Anyone have any suggestions? or maybe some previos WRX owners can give me some tips.

2002's are going for 14k-19k depending on milage/condition

ive had all sorts of fun in WRX's, and you wont be dissatisfied... however, do you live in a winter state, or a southern local?

if southern, why bother with anything AWD???it would be totally useless... buy a RWD pony car

he lives in Washington like me! and my family is thinking of getting a Rex as well. but it would have to be an automatic sadly. but it should be the same year as yours 02 or 03 maybe even 04 if we can find a decent one! me and my parents are going to check one out tomorrow at a Subaru dealer. i wonder if there are any WRX cruises in washington.

its the first Scuby roo i ever drove too

really, in driving feel... the difference between an 02, and 04 are very small. the 04 has a 3 spoke wheel, and different front seats. also, the steering is slightly more weighted in the 04... but only slightly.

in the wet, i oversteered it on an on ramp in the wet... and it felt brilliant! but it also will understeer in a corner if you turn in, then mash the gas. to control it better, a good throttle control is nessisary to properly load up the outside tires.

of course, mashing the gas will also bring you back into safety as an AWD car will but sometimes phisics win

careful as lag feels pretty severe below 2500 revs, then kicks into a lot of torque suddenly, and can cause some trouble if your not prepared for it in low gear.

as i said before, a WRX is a great choice of a car... being in Washington, you have enough rain to warrent having an AWD car
