Default Paulgt2164's Summer Project

heres what i will be doing, i am flying out to scottsdale AZ the 19th-27th of this month to build a miata

here are some current pics :

it currently has a supercharger @ 6psi, racing beat headers, dual exhaust, water injection, etc

the new motor is a flying miata built motor, wiseco pistons, crower rods, flying miata ported/polished head, flying miata FM2 Turbo Kit, new clutch. new flywheel etc.
Flying miata says the engine is good for 30PSI boost, however the turbo we currently have is good to only around 14 or 15 which should yield a lil less than 285RWHP

i will post pics when i get back or as i remove the current engine/supercharger and install the new engine/clutch/turbo system and all the accesories, i will try to host some vids of the dyno pulls and what not too

I agree, the stripes look a bit misplaced on that car. Make it as stealth as you can, that's much cooler. It's about performance and the Miata (or MX-5) looks good as it is IMO.

well the stipes are no longer on it, (the reason for the new engine is the old on overheated) and it discolored the stripes so they have been removed, and in real life the stripes looked very good on the car, the pics dont do it justics

anyhows the cars should run in the mid-high 12s in the quarter at low boost, like i said the engine is capable of 30psi so i am gonna try to talk the owner into taking advantage of at least 10 more psi lol

i would love to see 300+hp outta it

Sweet project...I can't imagine a Miata with 285rwhp ...I don't think they pull over 110-120rwhp stock.

Definitely have to get us some vids...and not just dyno vids, we want to see this badass car in action! 8)

If you think really hard, you can actually imagine one with 627 hp. It's called the McLaren F1.
