What? Sp1 = Service Pack 1?
For USB 2 to work, you must have USB 2 on your computer. I'm not sure if you need SP1 to have USB2 work, though.
SP2 is out anyway and you should always have ur PC updated.

Well, I don't like messing with the activation and all those things whenever I format my system disk just to get the possibility to use USB 2, and USB 2.0 drivers is the only reason I used to use service packs at all.. But now I found a driver so I didn't need the service pack's..
And BTW: SP2 sucks so much that I wouldn't think about installing that again....

Why does service pack 2 suk so much In your oppinion?
It fixes security holes and is better than SP1 according to reviews. XP is not a 100% safe product, and having sp2 does not make it 100% secure either, but it does fix many security issues. If you dont install SP2 then you have high risk of getting infected by viruses. Some viruses are transfered hidden from any antivirus if you dont have SPacks installed.
Win XP without any SP runs faster I know, but if you have SP1, then you should get SP2.

I don't have any SP's installed anymore, so have no problem..
I never get viruses or spy or ad anyway, antivirus is a good thing
My bluetooth usb dongle didn't work with sp2, and that sucks..
Then the thing with having to change the xp-cd key to make my pirate xp to be able to update to sp's...
And if I first get things like viruses and such, and I got it with SP2 installed, I just format c: and everything is good again....
