Went to the Ring last Saterday, to cover the Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen.
I went with a few friends of mine, one of them shares the same passion as I do ... photography He asked me to teach him how to take pannings because he had never done it before. We had a blast !!! And I could have a play with his brand new D200 8) Cheers Frank
When it comes to the race, the downside was that the first three top teams crashed during the first lap already and had to retire
Here are a few pics; Enjoy them
I used to shoot my pannings with a shutterspeed of 125 - 100/s, I uppered the enty this time and went for 60 - 80/s. And it sure payed off well, especially the shots I made at the Karoussel
Cheers

There are eleven VLN-races each year + one 24-hours race. You have an oldtimer grand prix as well and a few non-racing events too, such as "Ran & Run am Ring" That will be about it I guess.
But beware that there are lots racing events which will take place at the GP-circuit and not at the Nordschleife as you have asked me.
Cheers

The Cayman looks great - and the 1-Series (diesel?) was going pretty fast it seems!!
Great shots as usual!! :good:
Hi Dani,
The BMW 1 series is indeed a diesel, it's powered by a 2L engine which pushes out 250 BHP !!! It's fast as hell and corners super fast, its grip is just superb, I'm amazed each time I see it flying through the corners. Last Saterday it overtook a few Porsches Last year this team drove 320I's with 300 BHP.
Cheers

You are close mate You have done your homework quite well The 120d finished 5th overall which is an outstanding result no need to say that. Fourth place was for a Belgian team, they drove a Porsche GT3. Think is was tuned by Manthey Racing, who on their turn won this year's edition.
I like that car a lot; ok it doesn't have the killer sound of a Porsche nor a V10 Viper but I do like the sound of that diesel engine. It sounds like a bumblebee, but this white bee goes well over 200 km/h and sticks like a monster wasp 8)

Really nice pics, well done!
I also aim for 1/60s, and it really helps.
