Default A Saterday at the Ring - Touries

Hi,

Went to the ring some time ago. This time there wasn't a VLN race as usual On the other hand, there were plenty of Touries lapping the ring with a big smile on their face in their expensive uber machines.
I have added a few high resolution files as well.

I use to drive to the ring in my car which is a VW passat but this time I had a more than 2 hours passenger ride in a brand new M-packed 335d. The car is sooo nice, one of the best diesel engines around no doubt. It's very clear that the boys at BMW know a thing or two when it comes producing powerful diesel engines, damn that thing is fast. 200km/h is ... boooooring 8)

The owner of the car is a good friend of mine, he is fond of photography too. This time we could borrow the 200-400mm f/4 lens of his dad OOEE, baby that thing rocks!!!

Have fun (most of them shown here are shot with the 70-200 + TC1.7)

Great pictures
Love the edo porsche's
I believe the bottom one of the edo porsche's is the record lap time holder at the ring.

Sure, I can already give you of the Edo guys.

So, There you go

I have chosen for this shot cause I made it with the 200-400mm

This is the one. A nice aperture of f/4 over the entire zoom length, as far as I'm concerned this baby is very sharp too. Just look at the nose of the Porka.

I made the decision to go for a tele lens as well. Due to the fact that I don't want to go for f/4 lenses I went for the Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 VR.

300mm is a very nice and usefull length and it's a 2.8 lens, if I can combine that with the TC of 1.7 which I already have it will give me a focal length of 510mm with f/4.8
It's great at the ring and for wildlife photography as well 8)

Cheers
