(a little disappointed that empire was not listed)
It should have been the whole trilogy.....ep 5 was by far the best one......also I didn't realize how many remakes of these films have been made

BTW, what about:

Gumball (1974)
Cannonball I & II
Gone in 60 seconds (the 70s one, and Nicolas Cage's as well)
The fast and the furious (and the even worse 2 fast 2 furious)
Grand Prix (from the 60s)
Le Mans (Steve McQueen's)
Driven (with Silvester Stallone!!! )
RPM & Torque (possibly the two worst "motor" movies ever done)

I think all those movies should be in the list!
Driven was crap, the Fast and the Furious (1 and 2) along with RPM and Torque sould all be thrown into the incinerator.
The original Gone in 60 Seconds was much better than the new one with Cage. But i think the new one had much better cars
You also forgot to include 2 Lane Blacktop on your list. and what about Bullit? Smokey and the Bandit?

ok i'll stop...lets just stick to the AFI list..compiling our own will lead to nothing but trouble and debates

I've 42 of the 100 films. I'm disappointed Patton is not higher on the list (one of my favorites).
