Default Adios Suckers!

I'm leaving tomorrow to go have some fun snowboarding at a place called Giants Ridge. It's about a 3 hour drive north of me. Despite what their site says, they are completely open and so is the Snowboard park. I can't wait to go.
My friends parents just bought a condo across the street from the place, so we don't have to pay for a hotel or anything. Which is awesome.
My friends are bringing their cameras I believe, maybe I'll have some pics to share of me and my homeboys snowboarding.

Here are some pics of the snowboard park from thier site.

This is straight from their site:
We have the largest terrain park east of the Rockies with a 120-foot Big Air, a gapdrop 30-foot rail, a fun box with a rainbow, two 30-foot booters, a 60-foot table and an 80-foot Big Air! PLUS, numerous other hits and jibs totaling almost 20 different lines! And, get a load of this...the halfpipe is over 300 feet long!

Have a great time, 666fast! And come back in one piece.

One more piece of advice: protect your ass. If there's one thing I learned from snowboarding last year it's this.

That sounds like a blast! Just be very careful at the landings....I saw a guy land a jump right on his head, last year....and he didn't get up....ever. I will also go snowboarding tomorrow, but nothing as spectacular as that park you're going to!
Don't forget to have fun, and may you have lots of snow and clear skyes.

I'm back! I didn't break any bones either! LOL

It was a fricken blast. I had so much fun. We went snowboarding all day and went to the bars all night. You would think that being 3 hours away from home you wouldn't see anyone you know, but that wasn't the case! LOL
Of all the people in the world, who do we run into, but our 9th Grade English Teacher! We shared a few beers and chatted, it's quite wierd to buy a drink for my old teacher! LOL

The snowboarding was pretty good, the park wasn't completely open as we were told it was. There was only 6 jumps of which 2 were any good. The rest were all ice, that makes it hard to land anything. There was also a few handrails. The best part was that there wasn't anyone there! No need to pull your back foot out to go up the lift, just turn in hard and get right back on the lift!
The nightlife is pretty sad up there! In a two block stretch there was 7 bars, all of which were pretty empty most of the time. We statyed in what seemed to be the busiest one. A lot fo crazy shit happened in there. My friend was hitting on the bartender so we ended up getting a ton of free shots. Which was cool, but the bartender, yea, she was not hot at all!
In the end it was a blast, but I spent a ton more money than I had intended. I spent a total of $200, lift tickets for the two days was only $40. The rest was on drinks at the bar and the little bit of food we ate. LOL
I don't know how we drank as much alcohol as we did, but somehow everyone made it out alive. Just at the place we stayed at we went through 2 1.75's of Captain Morgan, a liter of Vodka and two cases of beer. Then there is the hundreds of dollars that was spent at the bar!

There was six of us there and the only person that took pictures of anything was the guy without a digital camera. Once he has the film developed, I'll see if he will scan them in and send them to me. Even then, I don't think he took very many pictures.

Like I said before, I had a ton of fun. I wish I was still there! I can't wait to go back, which I guess will be in a few weeks! LOL
