i hope 8 sec isn't the 1/8 record and its not the 1/4 mile record either. maybe for a class of cars.

for street legal cars... but just from the sound of that baddass viper, i dont think its as much of a 'daily' driver as the Linginfelter TT 427 Z06

Its a record for a streetlegal car with IRS[independent rear suspension] amd a 6speed box..........BTW stock for stock a Vette is more of a daily driver than the Viper....If you are refering to drivability you do know they can turn the boost down for around the town driving....The Viper is a full streetcar in the fullest sence of the word...No tubbed rear....Full weight, plus added weight for the sound system.....factory suspension setup, 6 speed no lightening.....BTW if thats the vid Ive seen before its a very quiet car for the power its making....I have vid of most of the passes and all of them are pretty quiet and effortless...

jeez, either way, that's a really fast viper. and i'm glad that huge 8.3 L engine is squeezing out more than just 500bhp from it now.

You guys aint getting it.....Yes there are faster cars.....But non of them are streetlegal, full factory suspension[except softer shocks on this Viper], stock 6 speed and independent rear suspension and have full interior etc...No other 6 speed, IRS equipped car on the planet is faster than this Viper...It is a world record not just a Viper record....the car that held the title before this Viper smashed it was a very sick "6 speed, IRS" Supra that did an 8.9 @ 162mph I believe....And yes its 8.75 in the 1/4 mile for the Viper.... 8)

I wonder if that is the class for RWD too...coz 4WD should have much better offline traction.
