well, the front grill is similar and the front fenders are close to. this car is the closest rendering yet of the 5th gen. (its already been made just not seen by spy pics)

They look like the current GTO with some token retro bulges...
It should look like this - or don't bother...

well the car's design is already finished. these aren't official pictures released from GM. More than likely they are someone's exagerated interpretation of the car as they saw it. (most likely on their test track in Germany)

hmm.. thats unusual for GM to finalize the body shape 4 years ahead of production... perhaps in the final 18 months before production starts... but market tastes can drastically change in 4 years.
Either way, a pro-tourer version of a real 1969 Camaro will still be a better looker than what ever crap GM can come up with...
Just witness the new GTO and C6 for confirmation that they have been drawing with one eye closed and the other eye having cataracts...

well if there was any changes to be done, they couldn't be major. GM has already handed out the contracts. Delphi already got in trouble for leaking info that they were going to be making the steering column for the 5th gen.

The orange one looks great! Once cars stop being produced, isnt it hard for them to get re-produced though?

But knowing you have won the contract to produce a part is quite different from having the design of the part complete.

Knowing the head of the camaro project I can tell you this is not the design. This was done by a private individual as his own prediction of what it should look like.
The camaro will be back in 2007 or 8 in august.. the 25th if I remember the date I was told. Its related to the anniversary of the first and last car.. both occured on same date. And the year is because of the workers union contract.

And to a T, many folks have expressed that this, an unofficial design, ironically probably looks way better than what ever GM rolls.. out..
After all, their track record over the last couple years is pretty bad.
SSR.
GTO.
C6 (still don't like the rearend treatment they gave it)
XLR
to name a few..
