I'm sure this is gonna change...I think McLaren should stick by themself...no more McLaren Mercedes for production cars...please let them give us a worthy F1 succesor...

If I remember correctly Mercedes now owns a considerable share of Mclaren so I have a feeling Mclaren won't be getting back to its roots anytime soon. It's really a shame. I don't see any synergy between the two design departments. On one side Mercedes has a long history of building big, heavy, numb cars and on the other there's Mclaren. The end result of this alliance, the SLR, looks like a polished turd to me. I would love to see how it does on a road course against cars like the Ford GT. Somehow I don't think Mercedes is as eager.

jeez what an ugly car, this thing make the F50 look good IMO. Mclaren power should be implanted on a prettier face then that man.

BTW McLaren Power, erm, McLaren have never built a car with their own engine

Oh dear...I thought concepts were supposed to look good and the actual production model has to look worse...not the other way around...or is it going to look uglier than that??? even though it's a sketch???

I personally think this car is a stupid, stupid idea.
Here in Australia a SL55 will set you back 350 grand. A 360 modena is about 360 grand.
So......................you're saying this car slots between the SL65 and the SLR to comepte with the 360 Modena?
And also, with these kind of cars we should be getting manual or F1 paddleshift boxes instead of these auto-crap

that´s a great car..i liked it, but it must have a 800hp V8 twin-turbochargered engine to hot it´s performance. Not more than 3000 pounds would be nice, as Ferrari 360 and Porsche GT3.

It is a shame in a way that McLaren has such a financial tie with Mercedes. The result is cars like this. An automatic transmission in a super car!?! Didn't think they could make a car uglier than the SLR but it looks like their going for it. Hopefully it will remain what it is right now.... a CONCEPT!

looks similar to a Bugatti.... Mclaren REAALLIE needs to go back and be ONE company and not partner up with freaking mercedes. (At least on production car level)
