As much as i hope your right, i think England will struggle.

Rooney isn't fit, and with Owens injury (Ouch!) we're really lacking in the attacking department.

Even if we get through here, its not as if we can take on the other teams with a distinct lack of convincing wins so far....

Match starts in 3 mins, i'm off! 8)

the goal from argentina was really good though... they were playing good... but not good enough aparently...
it was a sick goal, what i didn't like was that their first goal sucked and that they threw themselves to pretend being fouled... that aint fair play, and the referee sucked in various calls

Glad you missed it,.

It was embarrasing.

England stand no chance if they insist on playing like this.

Lol. I just heard a commentary that went like this.

Interesting game for England. They win, but they certainly didn't play well.

It's true.

All i can say is that it was luck Beckham decided to score a free-kick for England (the first one in 3 years  ).

i think you coudlnt be more wrong there,i didnt think it was an embaressing match at all,i thought they played as a whole a lot better than they have done in the group stages, the pace and keep of the ball was a lot stronger and the defence wasnt bad either, yeah they had a good chance at 11 mins in the game but Ashley Cole got back and did his job.....and there wasnt much shots bein taken by Ecuador.....

Solid defence.... not exactly the stuff of world cup winners.

Our goal was scored on a free-kick set piece. The guys can't handle the ball in open play.

Don't get me wrong, they're a good team, but they sure do know how to frustrate their supporters. :bah:

Ecuador we're poor in the box and with crossing. I agree.

the netherlands are out, after a crazy agressive game with a very strict referee... 4 reds, some 18 or so yellow (of which 4 were double ofcourse)...not a classy match to be honest, LOADS of opportunities missed, but anyway we lost... ah well good thing i dont care that much about football

The referee didnt help at all... and the dutch was very agressive at the game and where is the fair play ? :bad: :bad: :bad: :bad: .... the field seemed a battlefield...

But we win, and that is the more important
