Are you sure it is not 2448 types of shoes. If so I think I know the car. --> 612 Scaglietti

Nooooo.... I'll relieve you of that thought. Anyway, if I did buy an Enzo, it would be Red. Damn I love that car! Wish my Uncle Bill (as in Bill Gates) would lend me the money. I'd promise to pay him back in 20-25 years! :roflmao: Mags

Verrryyyyy good guess! You deciphered the one clue.... almost! BUT, I just checked another source again and according to the 2 different write-ups I read, it could be 2444 or 2480 types of shoes.

Since you got the one hint almost right, I'll give you another one for FREE! Ain't I a nice guy?

The absolutely correct long version name of the surprise consists of a name, then 3 numbers, then three letters and then another name. So there is actually four parts to the name of my surprise to you guys (and girls - to be politically correct)! :prr: Mags

I hope I'm not driving any of you to drink! :drinking:

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

Here's my reasoning:
- Horses wear shoes. There are 4 shoes on a horse
- 2444 types of shoes = 611 horses (divide by 4)
= power output of the Fiorano

Its power is also quoted 620 cv - hence the 2480 shoes confusion

My bad. I mistakenly got 611 and thought we were talking about the model number 611 - hence I thought you made a mistake and should have put 612.

So what do I win.

Hope you got one of the darker colors - it looks fantastic in maroon or silverstone grey.

Are you right? Maybe you is and maybe you ain't! Pretty clever little devil, aren't you? All that calculating and rationalizing. Lemme guess.... you're a college professor.... a mathematician.... a Texan who probably owns a couple hundred oil wells and just wants to make me look bad by hoping to make this teaser too easy!

What do you win if you're right? How about a few 8 1/2 x 11 Hi-Res photos of some of my cars (your choice) if you are right? BUT..... remember, I didn't say you were right! :prr:

I just can't reveal the surprise until tomorrow when I'm finally able to rub my grubby little paws all over it. Plus, I have to send out a BIG THANK YOU to a certain someone who sent me a ton of leads via e-mail to try and help me find one of these things. Mags

p.s. You say the 599 looks good in the darker colors? :shocked!: Lemme guess again.... there's dozens of them running all around the Lone Star State! I thought those were harder to get a hold of than Chicken Teeth? :roflmao:

I just remembered - Didn't you say that you were planning to buy a 355 this year? Giddyup man! Time's a wasting. You have only a couple driving months before the roads get winterized.

So who are the current JWers with the prancing horse? Jabba, magwheel (times 3 soon to be times 4), and me. Anyone I missed?

Bobafett and that kid's whose dad owned an F50, Enzo, etc are no longer active on this site.

Better get a move on it. What color were you looking at? F1 or manual? From experience let em tell you, hunting for an Fcar is so much fun. I wish I could afford another one. C'mon mags adopt me.

F430 Scuderia would be a nice one too, BUT I guess the name we are going after is Fiorano 599 GTB.

Well anyways whatever the car, Mags is not letting us down, never has been, never will.. Congrats mate, again, for a good purchase.

Unfortunately, the business isn't officially open yet, so the market for me has been dragging its feet. It was originally intended to be open a little more then a month ago... Thankfully, the market is only getting better for it

I will own one... but it may be significantly delayed unfortunately

As to color, and options... It's cliche to say Corsa Rossa... but I don't think I would enjoy another color more... yellow is a second choice. 6 speed conventional Manuel GTB... and Tubi exhaust is a must... even when compared to capristo, and OE especially.

So, Knowing what I'm aiming at, I don't mind driving my 9 year old Jeep a bit longer... Thankfully, I'm able to get my Ferrari sporting drive-fix 3-4 times a month.... Whats interesting is the 288 drives slightly nicer then a 355 does, but honeslty, the 355 sounds better (with tubi... word is the 288 is going to get the Tubi treatment)

Good luck with your business.

At least you have a decent color choice with the 355. I think over 90% of the 348s were red. When I was buying my 348 in October, I was open to Red, blue, titanium, and yellow but the only cars on sale at the time were red or black. Black looked nice but will be murder in hot Texas. So Red became the only choice.

Recommend you look at a car with a challenge rear grill too - it is better for heat extraction. Excessive heat is one of the reasons (the other being poorly design OE exhausts, manifolds that caused a lot of them to crack necessitating $$$$ rebuilds.

The 288 sounds great for a turbo car. The one I saw in the Concorso Italiano a couple years back had some megaphone exhausts - it sounded awesome.

yeah, forgot about the challenge grill, definatley a must as well. I've seen photos of the megaphone exhaust... it looks interesting, but out of place. I'm sure it sounds great tho

a horse has shoes, 2444 shoes divided by 4 legs = 611 horses... Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

ps giddy up = prancing horse, 599 GTB = 1/2 numbers (or 1/3 if u count the fiorano and rate each part as equal), what other clues were there? mama mia is obvious...

btw u couldve had the entire name of "MC12" from the keys on that calculator wouldn't be that bad either
