Yeah I mentioned it to a few friends and nobody seemed to like it. Then I mentioned it to another friend who said it is basically his favorite movie. Haha.

Apparently it was only a limited release in theaters so no wonder I haven't heard about it at all.

No Country For Old Men

damn i don't get this movie... i guess you have to from Texas or american to fully understand this movie... or was there nothing to understand? i watched to movie in english no subtitles, maybe that was a mistake but what the hell.

overall i found the atmosphere of the movie was very tense even though the actors didn't show much of that there is not much dialogue but maybe that's ok, since i couldn't understand what they were mumbling ^^

i really like the ending of the movie. definately not your typical american-happy-end movie. i'm not giving a rating for this movie yet, i have to watch it a couple more times maybe there is some hidden meaning. or maybe someone can explain it to me?

"Death at a Funeral"

Very dry Brittish humour, not horrible, got a bunch of awards apparently. Severely lacked character development... 4/10

There will be blood - 8/10 ----- Interesting story, but the ending felt confused... something was missing. Good movie.... felt very much a part of history.... not unlike "The Betsy" in ways.... but not much in the area of love triangles .... hmm..... maybe 9/10!

Horton hears a Who - 6/10 ----- was written as if it was for radio, or perhaps as if Jim Carey had a lot of ad-libs ... not too helpful IMO.... but it is a film for kids. Not as good as Nemo.

Shoot em Up - 10/10 !!!! Holy crap! This movie is "Max Payne" personified, with less (no) drama, no drugs, and no bullet time. Awesome!

Semi- Pro - 7/10 ---- Another good Will Farrel flick. Not as good as Taladega Nights, but far better then Anchor Man Great one-liners!

Vantage Point - 4/10 ---- kinda lame overall. 8 vantage points each about 10 minutes in the day of the life of some crisis.

10/10

I saw Shoot 'Em Up on a plane flight recently. I thought it was brilliantly conceived. What could have been a brilliantly complex and intriguing plot was overwhelmed by sheer violence, but the cinematography was excellent.
