Nice cars and welcome to Motor World
Check up on the custom pic requirement so your cars will be "official."

Cambiocorsa's just a name for Maserati's flappy paddle gearbox.
Anyways, welcome!

Nope. That's a picture of the 90th's Anniversary edition you got there. It's got the GranSport body kit and the carbon fairings.
I think you mistook Cambrio for Cabrio?
And he said Cambio. Cambiocorsa = Cambio + corsa = racing change.
Oddly enough, I spent a lot of time couple of years ago digging through the Maserati site for fun, so I'd like to think that I know this stuff.
*We could always ask "the head". The picture he has there is too small to see, but it looks like the Mazzer has the black horizontal bars in the grille like the "normal" MY05 Coupé. Very very nice, nonetheless.

I'm not disputing that the blue Spyder posted has Cambiocorsa. And yes, the Coupé can come with Cambiocorsa. It's not a designation for an edition per se, but like BMW M3 with SMG. Maserati Coupé came either in GT (manual) or Cambiocorsa gearbox. Cambiocorsa was never an edition.
Here.
http://www.maserati.com/jsp/newModels.jsp?menuKey=t16&category=%2Fmaserati%2Fc ars%2Fcoupe%2F
As an alternative to the six-speed manual transmission, the Coupé is also available with a F1-style Cambiocorsa gearbox with hydraulic operation and electronic management operated by F1-style paddles behind the steering wheel, so that no clutch pedal is needed. The system allows the driver to choose between four different operating modes: Normal, Sport, Auto and Low Grip.
|
As you can see, Cambiocorsa just denotes the type of gearbox given to either the Coupé or the Spyder.
I can only think of 3 or 4 special editions of the Coupé/Spyder
3200 GT Assetto Corsa (maybe you're thinking of that one?)
the Vintage package
90th Anniversary Spyder
GranSport MC Victory
And that 90th Anniversary Spyder you have there came with the Cambiocorsa transmission as I recall...
