It's a range extender hybrid, so it'll have a petrol engine to boost the batteries. There was some talk of it using small jet engines not sure what's happening with that.

I like the way manufacturers are responding to CO2 reduction targets. Porsche 918 Spyder is ace!

Why? CO2 is a naturally occuring a required for life compound on the earth.

Reducing "CO2 targets" has what to do with anythin goutside of bogus "global warming" crap exactly?

Whats next? Car companies are going to start removing trees around the globe to "reduce their carbon footprint"?

Or planting them as Land Rover will happily charge you for.

I hate it too, just got a smokey old 205 GTi, it doesn't have a cat and currently doesn't work properly so does about 12mpg. It's not exactly eco-friendly. So while I dislike the idea of persecuting motorists, as a hypocrite I think that pollution and the general affectation we cause is a problem.

It's dull but something needs to be done - a bit.
