Default Windows Vista RC1

Is anyone using RC1 already?

You can download a copy at http://download.windowsvista.com/pre...n/download.htm

And info on hw reqs & other bits can be found http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...y/preview.mspx

RC1 will be good until June 1, 2007.

Business availability for Windows Vista in November 2006, consumer availability in January 2007.

PATo355 what're you running it on? I'm having 2nd thoughts whether to install the ISO I have now or just wait for the final release next year.

I would assume they would do it the other way around so that the consumers will sort out some of the bugs for Microsoft and the biz version will be more stable.

Install it on another hard drive , wont delete your windows , its really ram consuming , i have 1024 and it uses 700mb just installed !!!

But works very fast , windows animations are amazing !!! , i still run xp , takes time to get used to vista .

That was what I was going to do until I started reading all the bitching about RC. It's "better than expected" but it's "not yet ready".

Your enthusiasm makes me want to make the attempt.

With 700MB used how much more does it use running with other apps?

DeMoN, does your computer support 64 bit? (sorry if that was a stupid question, but alot of people install 64 bit Vista on 32 bit machinces and that shit dont work.)
