he gave another hint
& now im completely lost
thinkin abt koenigsegg, but it already has ABS right?
when you bought the car.. you got a pkg with it.. hotel stay/food/etc
you were flown to the country where it was made and it was hand assembled infront of you in 2 weeks.. you could go see how they were sewing your seats..
the employees worked at relaxed hours so they made sure everything was perfect..
you could even have a movie made about it.. in the end, you took pictures with everyone who worked on the car.. got a gold plated certificate with your name on it.. then you spent an extra week learning how to control the beast!
the car has NO ABS/power steering/radio/AC/power windows...
it has no chassis.. everything is attached to the engine!
the company wants you to take the car and drive it hard.. as hard as you can!

This sounds like it is a misrepresentation of either Pagani Zonder or Ferrari purchase but full of urban legend.
Shelby series 1?

Well he seems to have mixed up all sorts of bits of urban legend about different auto makers:
The "Personal Movie" of the Shelby Series 1, the "must own 2 previous new cars" from Ferrari - the hand made attention to detail of Pagani etc etc.
I say he is full of shit.

Well - he cocked up the entire story.
Tell him to stop reading all those "urban legend" web sites...
And we said F50 way early on in the story - Max Power said so in the second post.
Where is he getting the info about only 316 F50's left? A chassis list would be good to have.

I'm willing to bet all this is on old and outdated information
I remember hearing that to be able to purchase an Enzo you had to have owned 2 other ferraris
And if i remember correctly 399 was not the original production number for the Enzo and that ferrari decided to build additional models after hearing the reaction from potential buyers.

Oh - and the car does have a chassis - he is confusing the fact that the engine was a load bearing component of the entire structure. Your buddy needs to take a class in reading comprehension - he misrepresented just about every fact except the "demand - 350 so we will build 349" - which is such common knowledge... even my 7 year old knows this fact.

yeah kinda funny i bet your daughter gets it from you! yeah the V12 is bolted directly to the bulkhead so it becomes an intrical part of the chassis and the rear suspension mounted to the gearbox. it would have helped if he gave some better clues.
