MSN transfer help
I am trying to transfer a video with dingo22 on MSN and we both have broadband (512K and 1MB) but all our transfers seem to be extremely slow. They start off fairly quickly but soon slow down to and end up being worse then when we were on 56K.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

ohh ... kewl .... whats in the vid ??
well i guess u'll hvae to contact someone whose got lotsa web space like demon ..
or yea can request the admins to put it on jw(if its all that important) ....
or zip it into lil 5-15 mb packs .. like marrtin brundle supercars or burning rubber ..
i think its tht slow because of the size of the vid .... 175 mb damn ...
or start DLing it and i'll be done by tomorro morning ...

Its just a basketball video.....its not just for this vid though, we just would like to know a solution because this happens on ANY video we try to share
I don't want to ask someone to host a video just so I can d/l it everytime we want to share something

Got the same transfer problems, but it depends on the person I'm sending this file to
Sometimes it works great, quite fast, and sometimes it begins fast and becomes VERY slow 1 minute after the beginning
I tried to configure my router but couldn't find the appropriate ports to open (can that be a NAT problem ? Still a noob, sorry)

Very slow I confirm, although I use Trillian.
my suggestion if both of you guys download and install AIM.. still works well for me.

to avoid those problems, I prefer to send the file in rar archives to a mail account, or use yousendit.com
you spend a little more time, but it has faster download speeds

Using Trillian here too.
If you regularly exchange files with others then you need something other than MSN.
I think theres a free website that provides hosting for files but only for around 1 week then they delete them off the servers. Problem is i can't remember the name...

Trillian ... not a bad idea, I can't stand msn problems anymore (nicknames not showing etc ...) of course there will still be the shitty msn servers which bug every full moon
