It's actually a XKR-R prototype, jag had to do some suspension "work" after jeremy drove it around the track. Before they finished working on it, jeremy got the stig to do a timed lap with the half broken suspension.

OK im really confused.....I must have missed a redo episode. In the first of the new top gear's the Zonda went up against the Murcealago. The Zonda scoring a 1:23 and the Murcialago a 1:29. Later they changed the Zonda's time to a more official time of 1:23.8 ((((((HOWEVER)))))))) i noticed in this episode that at the top of the chart was a Murcielago time of 1:23.7?!?!?!? WHAT when did that happen? When did the Murcielago come back and shave over 6 seconds off its origional time, I am sooo confused.

They re-test the murcialago as part of the lambo feature with the new stigg at the controls...look out for the hi-res version of this video tonight.

Sadly the vids can't stay up to long since they eat bandwidth.. so usually when they are removed it is for good...

Ohhhh ok. That makes a lot of sense. So I assume this is similar to the prototype that Tiff thrashed around (with a manual) a while back then (?). Thanks for the info dude!

BTW, excellent vid quality on the high res version--no aspect ratio problems either.

It had something to do with the rear axle, apparently after they had driven the car for the programme they returned it to Jaguar. But when they called if the Stig could have a go, the mounted a different rear axle which gave nothing but wheelspin. I don't know if it's exactly right what I'm saying, but I thought it was something like this.
