Don't make fun
I know its not a supercar, but it is my first car and it hasn't dissapointed me one bit. Its more than just a normal taurus. For those of you not familiar with the taurus SHO it was a performance addition of the taurus. The main difference b/w a normal taurus and a SHO is the engine. The engine was designed and built by yamaha for use by ford. Its a dohc design and makes a respectable 220 bhp. So anyways heres some pics of my 92.
Oh, and if anyone wants an engine shot just let me know and I will find one.

We had SHO's for years...from when they came out on the body style previous to yours all the way through the last (I believe it was a 98 V8 Auto) in the body style that succeeded yours. My family loved them hehe, do you have the 5 speed or the slushbox? (we're a bit hooked on manuals)

Nice decent ride, looks reliable, did you have any problems with it?

Yeah its the 5 speed. Have never had any problems with it yet. Some people say its unreliable but nothing seriously wrong has happened to it yet. Only thing that may be a problem with it in the future is that many of the parts are being dicontinued by ford and are becoming harder and more expensive to find.

Thanks for all the positive comments. Seems like a really friendly forum you guys have going here. Oh and here's a picture of the engine, you should hear this baby scream when the secondary runners open up after 4000 rpm.

It is quite a nice engine, the only real problem is that it's in a Taurus chassis (kind of soft even with the firmed up suspension)...imagine what it would be like in something a bit smaller and rear drive

At least you didn't come in here thinking your car was the stuff. I'm tired of all my dorky friends that have honda civics that think they can beat Porsches. You appreciate the car for the right reason, it's a reliable, livable car.
