Default Mallala Raceway (lots of pics)

I went out to Mallala raceway on the weekend. Nothing crazy exciting, but good fun to watch and I took around 200 photos.

Here's a panorama I took of the lineup for the HQ Holdens race:

Not entirely sure what this is, could be an old Lola?

An older 911

A Leyland Mini, was quicker than the Morris Mini which was also out

No Idea what this is, but its very old, and wasn't real fast. Was certainly awesome to watch tho. Looked more like a tractor than a race car.

Caterham/Lotus 7 (I think)

Konica V8 Supercar

Not sure what this is, heard someone say Anglia, but not sure

AC Cobra Replica? Was probably close to the fastest car out.

Alfa Romeo GTA

Lotus Europa

Morris Mini (supercharged)

Formula Vee

Comaro? and some weird thing help me people!

3 Porsche's, 2 911's and a 928?

HQ Holdens

Saloon Racing (Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons)

Some huge thing (which was quite quick) being chased buy a 911

Minis! They white one spun and these two had a great battle for a couple of laps.

Torana

RX7

Torana again

Back row of the grid

This shows you the diversity of this particular field of cars

Go the Mini. Huge size difference

All photos (200 or so) available here.

Camera is a Sony F717, and yes, I did tilt it on purpose, you can fit more of the car in the pic that way .

Great pix. The pan is beautiful! That anglia  ... old ben's school for gifted unkles. If the boeing contraption doesnt work much aerodynamicly, the shear weight of the thing will do.

Some of your unamed cars..

As you guessed, Ford Anglia, Triumph TR7, Ford Galaxy, Ford Cortina GT and Chevrolet Monaro GTS (names dependant on country of origin of course.. the names given are as they would have been in South Africa)
