Default new Ferrari 599?

Last week I was in South Africa, and when visiting the Cape of the Good Hope I came across this Ferrari:

I´ve got some more pics of it... is this the new 599? looks akward btw

Actually there was another ferrari just beside it, this time a 612 full of what seemed to be some testing equipments

I´ll put some more pics in a while

cheers

the rear wheels are the same hideous things on the 599's press shots, so I guess that could be one of the test mules?

definitely a unique sighting, though 8)

wow, nice catch!

Definitely looks like a heavily camoflauged 599 test mule..

Yup, looking like the mules  Brillant sighting! I wonder if they were down there to shoot the official pics too, but in this case no need to go around with a test mule afterall!

I hope they have good security - South Africa is the car theft capital of the world - and even though the chance of being able to fence a mule car is slim to none, the local car theft gangs will simply steal it because it belongs to someone else..

they didn't manage to get their hands on the press release of the McMerc a few years ago

Uhm, I guess no magazine would pay half a buck for the picture sadly.. too late now if it's really the 599.. but I am wondering why a heavily disguised test mule now that the car was presented

Well yes, premičre at Geneva of course, but the car will be secretly presented to Ferrari owners around Europe before the motorshow

And you might be right.. it's true that there are no official press pics in the wild yet :bah: but considering how most manufacturers deal with testing mules, testing the last details with just a few covers here and there, it is weird to see the 599 still camoed like if nobody knew they are developping it
