i'm amazed they could get it on the flatbed :shock: that thing is low enough on 4 wheels, let alone 3

i'm curious as to how someone could get 5 lugbolts off without attracting attention to themselves while the car was being fueled up. as soon as the 5th one is loosened, the car is going to shift off the hub with a noticeable thunk.

i'm wondering if maybe they weren't torqued completely the last time the car got brakes or tires done. Lucky thing it didn't happen on the roadway though.

What the article says is the bolts were unscrewed but not removed from their holes.. so I suppose unscrewed almost completely and they just popped out when the wheel started turning...

this thing has been done to a couple friends of mine, luckily not me, one of them was driving a Golf cabrio and the other an SLK, they realized the wheel had gone loose when it went past em... really dangerous
