Here are the current pics of the NASCAR Pace car camaro build! The car is missing its decals, but those will also be reproduced.

Here is the car at the owners house when we picked it up.

Getting its first bath in 8 years! And the best part...it fired right up and ran!

Here are some pics of the Shops 'Cuda 440 six pack four speed.

This car was also a barn find, and is quite rare with the optional shaker hood.

This car is currently 80 percent complete, and ahead of schedule!

Its quite a engine, I can assure you of that. Terrific throttle response, great sound, and a lumpy idle Not to mention 600 horsepower out of a small block that was originally developed for Trans-Am racing. Its too bad chevy pulled out of all factory backed racing when the engine was developed, it would have been an ass-kicker.

You and the rest of your shop really do amazing work bringing these cars back to life and then some.

The rare stuff must really keep it interesting, not to mention doing work for NASCAR.

Thanks for the write up and photos!

It has been extremely busy this month (Barret, Russo, Kruse, etc auctions). We go through alot of cars for buyers that are in town.

We have grown and added on an additional 3000 square feet to make room, as well as been give the opportunity to crew several upcoming events that we could only dream of participating in less than a year ago, it is funny how word gets around when you do great work!

here are some pics of what has been going on!

A 700+ Hp modded Ford GT

One of our cars, a '69 Nova, big block 396, numbers matching.

1966 Shelby GT350, real car, numbers matching, rare aluminum case tranny, owned by a local collector, we are refinishing the engine bay in the proper colors, as well as the underside, and interior.

The Engine from the GT350, sitting next to the engine from a GT500 that I rebuilt

Penny Hardaway's old mustang, next to a Lambo

1970 Mercury Cougar 428CJ 4 speed. Very cool car, we repainted/detailed the undercarriage, as well as fixed a few issues (brake lines, etc)

A pic of the truck I have been building for a pro athlete. It was his grandfathers 56 chevy. So far it has a Art Morrison chassis, 4 link rear end, coilover suspension, the interior will be getting a custom center console, bucket seats, A/C, and a 600 cubic inch twin turbo big block estimated to produce 1200+ hp. I will be done with this by September hopefully.

A frequent customer's camaro. 600+hp 871 blower, 383 small block. Fully caged. Was in the shop for custom A/C hoses this time. Will be featured in a few magazines in a month or two.

Here it is sitting next to our '70 Hemi Challenger that has a 426CI crate, then we added fuel injection. Pics of the buildup are on the old thread on motorworld.

Me in front of a few cars that are part of a 21 car collection I help take care of. Back there you will see a few notable cars, The silver GTO is 1 or 5 ever made Judge Ram Air 4 cars that is a convertible and a 4 speed. Also you can only see the end but there is the "Thrasher Camaro" which was built in 1999 and generally considered to be the car that started the whole "Pro touring" movement in the muscle car world. The "Thrasher" also won its class twice in the One Lap of America competition. It is powered by a 406 CI small block making approx 600hp, with a suspension to match. The Lime green car is a 1970 Dodge Coronet Hemi, from canada.

Here is me tuning our shop Challenger, it runs on the Accel DFI EMS system.

Here is a few of the cars we took to GoodGuys Southwest nationals. We were slightly disappointed we did not win "Best Mopar" , we have won it three years running. But rumor had it the judges were tired of Challengers and 'Cudas winning, and we brought one of each hahah. We also brought our 67 GTX Hemi, Our '70 Cuda 440 Six Pack 4 Speed, and our '59 427 El Camino (which I drove with the headers uncapped and open all three days haha). A few customers met us at the show and joined us under our tent, so we also had a 69 camaro with the rare Crossram 302, a '70 GTO convertible, a pro-street style 68 Chevelle, and a 69 Camaro Resto-Mod with a 502.

The underside of our 'cuda

A customers engine block. Big deal right? this is a date coded 427 aluminum block that once lived in a ultra rare 1969 ZL1 Camaro (only 69 camaros were made with this engine as an option) These blocks regularly sell for 25k. It weighs 90lbs.

A local pro athletes 1965 Chevelle. 427, 4 speed, leather interior ex-show car! We installed power steering, Hydroboost brakes, and tuned the car.

Sweet 64 Vette that was having the shifter rebuilt

440 Daytona. Love the wing cars.

A slightly modded 69 Camaro RS/SS

Hrmm look what i see in this hauler.... A Enzo...Veyron...and MC12

Me rebuilding a GT500 engine, 428 Super Cobra Jet.

A Bugatti that stopped in for a few days...

A 1961 Rambler 6 cylinder I rebuilt

a Chevelle...

Another 64 Vette, this one with sidepipes and a 427. Has some engine problems we resolved.

Part of our showroom

Looks like we were having a car show, we were moving around some of our cars

A Jag that stopped in for a few days

My current large project , For the same aforementioned pro-athlete. 1968 Chevelle. 825+ Hp 383 small block. Dart Block, AFR Heads, Procharger F1R blower, Intercooler, Big Stuff 3 Engine management, Moser Rear End, Drag suspension, B&M turbo 400 tranny, Aluminum driveshaft, aftermarket trailing arms, lots of fabrication etc. This car will be a severe ass kicker when I get done with it.

A few parts.....

Battery box (installed to NHRA specs) and the fuel pump controller

I sumped the stock fuel tank, and installed the pump

Engine in the car!

I had to move the radiator 3 inches to make room for the intercooler.

bllooooowwweeeerrrr

Finishing up engine assembly

after i smoothed the firewall

Waaaahhhh!!!

So that's where the thrasher Camaro is! I'm going to have to make a road trip to your shop some day. Every time you add on to this thread it's filled with too much muscle-awesomeness for me to express with words. It looks like your shop has quite the reputation seeing how as you get some other types of cars in as well.

Alot of interesting things have been happening, and we have become the shop of choice for many high profile collectors. The thrasher is owned by a collector who was unknown (except to us and a few others) who has 21 cars. He also has a 7k mile ZL1 that is the only remaining (the other is a re-body) RS ZL1, and it has never been touched, a true survivor. He has the #55 ZL1 as well, and a survivor boss 429 with less than 10k miles. All his cars we are getting prepped to be taken to Mecum's new auction in Indy this year. I will ask the collector if I can post some pics, the pic of me with all the vintage signs is just one corner of his collection.

The last owner of the thrasher (Charlie Lillard) drops in the shop occasionally and tells us about some top secret projects that are being built

We always welcome visitors, these cars should be seen by everyone!
