Thank you sooo much st-anger. Both articles were great but the Ruf article was fantastic. Ruf’s CTR 2 though has to be the worst example of taking Porsche’s most beautiful creation, the 993, and turning it into an ugly duckling.
Can’t get enough of the original CTR though. I haven’t seen any official time but I read once that Porsche engineers said the 959 was capable of a time of 8:30 on NS. The CTR has been clocked at 8:16. The 959 has 444 hp while the CTR has 469. Obviously the 959 is heavier and more comfort oriented but wow what a difference from the older technology CTR none the less. I guess it goes to show you the affect of weight on a car at the track .
